Music festivals come back to animate squares and stadiums in the presence of the general public. Rock in Roma, Firenze Rock, Torino Jazz Festival and many others, in a summer festival that will also involve the great international artists. Ready for the summer to restart? Here is the guide to all the musical events of the coming months!
Rock in Rome
From 10 to 30 July Rome will be hit by a wave of concerts. In the now famous Ippodromo delle Capannelle the festival will open with the concert of the iconic Roman rapper Noyz Narcos with the new album “Virus”. Not only that, the rap scene will be the protagonist with many other artists including Madame, Ernia, Guè Pequeno, Gemitaiz and Caparezza. The festival will then close with the double date of Blanco and the concert of Rkomi on July 30th.
Placebo, Muse, the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Metallica: from 16 to 19 June, the international rock scene takes Florence. There will also be Italian representation at the festival, with the performance of the Genoese rapper Teduawaiting for the release of his next musical project.
Lucca Summer Festival
From 25 June to 30 July: a month full of music in Lucca. Now in its 22nd edition, the festival this year will see various artists perform including Zucchero, Marracash, Rkomi and Mara Sattei. There is also a lot of space for international music with performances by Noel Gallagher and the Kasabians, John Legend and Justin Bieber.
Turin Jazz Festival
Jazz returns to animate the Turin evenings from 11 to 19 June. Over 50 events, which will also see the two big names of the event on stage: Kae Tempest and Milton Nascimento
An underground festival in the splendid setting of the Pianezze nature park. From 16 to 19 Junethe festival will see the performance of many DJs, including Francesco Zappalà.
The first summer
The festival, organized in Versilia, will be staged from 21 to 26 June. This is the first edition, but famous artists such as Anderson, Paak and Jamie Xx are already expected, without forgetting the legendary Duran Duran.
Kappa Futur Festival
Among the most important events on the European scene in a techno and house key, the Kappa returns from 1 to 3 July in the city of Italian electronics: from Diplo to Carl Cox, passing through Joseph Capriati, Peggie Gou and Monika Kruse: Turin will once again be the capital of electronic music.
The festival which this year will host the likes of Alt J, Kings Of Convenience and Sonos of Kemet, will take place from 18 June to 4 September in Bari.
Aeolian Music Fest
From 30 June to 5 July, the Aeolian Islands will be the scene of this splendid musical event that this year will be able to count on names of the caliber of Daniele Silvestri, Samuel and Mannarino.
The festival, now the central pivot of European jazz music, this year it will be held from 8 to 17 July. Many artists are expected, including Enrico Rava and Herbie Hancock.
Gaeta Jazz festival
We continue with the review of jazz music, which will also be staged on the Lazio coast from 14 to 17 July. Among the expected events the performance of Enrico Zanisi, who will perform at the piano with a set at dawn.
From 21 to 24 Julythe naturalistic area of Pianezze will host the Subsonica, Cosmo, and the combination Venerus – Calibro 35 from 21 to 24 July.
In the theater of the Cilento National Park in Campania, the event will be held from 5 to 7 Augustand will see performances by Giorgio Valletta, LUCA (aka Fancisco), Mai Mai Mai, but also Napoli Segreta and Mystic Jungle.
The electronic music event, which this year will be held in the Itria Valley, will involve, from 4 to 7 Augustartists of the caliber of Moderat and Slowthay, but also the Cinematic Orchestra.
Now in its tenth edition, the Maida festival, in the province of Catanzaro, this year will host The Notwist, Psicologi, Nu Genea, Marco Castello, Emma Nolde, BNKR44 and Mecna from 11 to 13 August.
Let’s go back to Turin once again, where from 26 to 28 Augustwill take place this underground festival will see the participation, among others, of Black Country, New Road, but also Squid and Tash Sultana.
Jazz: Re: Found
A short distance away, in the Langhe of Turin, precisely in Monferrato, one of the most important jazz festivals in Italy will be held from 1 to 4 September. Among the participants Ditonellapiaga, Louie Vega and Azimouth.
Between 16 and 17 September, in the iconic setting of Cinecittà, the festival concludes the great summer of events. Fulminacci, Iosonouncane, Nu Genea, passing through Post Nebbia and Venerus, many artists are expected this year.
