ROME – The iconic Lambretta, with the launch of two new models, the exhibition and an artistic installation organized in collaboration with the Lambretta museum, has monopolized the week of Fuorisalone 2022. The novelties presented by the house are focused on the X series which represents a completely new line of products, with an innovative design that however maintains the typical DNA of the Vespa antagonist par excellence. The X300 is the first model of this new series whose shapes are born from a concept conceived by Walter Scheffrahn, Lambretta president. At first glance, the sporty and tapered lines are striking, recalling the typical styles of the unforgettable Lambrettas of the past.

The design of the steel sides stands out, with “diamond” lines that still maintain, updating them, the soul and spirit of the Lambretta. The fixed fender is maintained, which is an indissoluble feature of this scooter, while technically a tubular frame with a semi-monocoque has been adopted that unites the footboard, shield and sides, all elements made of steel. Then we find the typical front suspension with pulled wheel oscillating arm and double shock absorber, front and rear disc brake, dual channel Abs, full Led headlights, keyless system for starting and Bosch electronic injection.

The G-Special, on the other hand, made its debut at Eicma 2019 with the name G325 Special, but the health emergency delayed development and its launch was forcibly postponed until the current debut with an increased displacement to 330 cc. The concept and design of the G-Special are the result of the creativity of Walter Scheffrahn and Peter Beselin, who took the classic Lambrette designs of the past as a reference, reinterpreting them in a modern key.

In addition to its flagship dimensions, the G-Special is also the model with the highest displacement in the Lambretta range of premium classic scooters. The G-Special is equipped with the most classic and appreciated all-steel monocoque frame with interchangeable side panels respecting the most authentic tradition of the house. For both models, the start of series production is scheduled for the end of the year while the indicative list price is 5,900 Euros for the X300 and 7,200 Euros for the G350 Special. “The Lambretta models are built using the best technology available, guaranteeing the highest quality according to global quality standards – underline the headquarters – This business model allows Lambretta to claim the best of the components offered on the market from a technological point of view.

Both the X and the G-Special are the result of a close collaboration with our Thai branch, which started operating over 3 years ago.
