New Piaggio Mp3, the first scooter in the world with driver assistance

ROME – With a clear cut compared to the past, Piaggio changes the course of its iconic Mp3 three-wheeled scooter. A segment launched by the Pontedera house in 2006 and which has been constantly developed over the years, sheltering it from the many attempts at imitation. Thus, the “next generation” of Piaggio Mp3 is renewed on the stylistic and technological front, once again introducing a lot of innovation. The look now sports a wider and more protective front, totally redesigned and characterized by a new horizontal full Led optical group, while in the center of the front shield we find a smaller and more sporty air intake with three-dimensional honeycomb grille. .

There are also references to the latest trends in automotive design, from the more imposing and aggressive front, to the direction indicators integrated in the wheel arches, while at the rear the taut lines run towards the optical group, a single horizontal element, also in this case full. Led, under which the extractor opens which highlights the debut of the license plate holder on the wheel. The new MP3 has also been profoundly renewed in the technological equipment with which the house intends to raise the bar in terms of comfort and safety.

Another first for the Italian company since the MP3 is the first scooter in the world equipped with “Advanced Rider Assistance System” devices, with a driving assistance platform based on Imaging Radar 4D technology and developed by Piaggio Fast Forward, robotics company of the Tuscan Group. The user always has everything under control thanks to the instrumentation with a large 7 ″ Ttf full color display, to which is added a keyless system, connectivity with pictogram navigation and, on the 530 hpe Exclusive version, cruise control, engine maps (Comfort, Eco and Sport) and the reverse function with video camera.

The range is divided into three versions, all with High Performance Engine engines: Mp3 400 hpe and Mp3 400 hpe Sport, with the 400 cc of over 35 Hp, while the flagship Mp3 530 hpe Exclusive benefits from the new 530 hpe of over 44 Hp. from the increased torque compared to the previous version. The new Piaggio Mp3 will arrive in dealerships at the end of June, with prices of 10,499 euros for 400 hpe (Sport version 10,999 euros) and 12,999 euros for 530 hpe Exclusive, and can already be booked online on the official website where you can choose the version and preferred color, as well as the dealer where to pick up the scooter.
