What is called Summer Experience 2022 was presented today by the company’s CEO, Luigi Corradi, underlining that the goal is “to encourage the choice of train by looking at the experience of travel in its entirety” with a proposal “increasingly convenient, multimodal and sustainable”. “Compared to the period of Covid – says Corradi – we have made an effort to reduce costs by increasing promotions. Today we cost about 10% less, while all other ways of traveling have increased prices”.

The summer package includes: over 240 Frecce per day, with 23 new stops in tourist resorts; 124 Intercity with 75 new stops, and 6,800 regional connections with the confirmation of the ‘Link’ connections (train + bus or train + ship). Connections abroad are also increasing, with the Frecciarossa Milan-Paris and Paris-Lyon, and with Eurocity and Euronight for Switzerland, Austria and Germany.

The main element of the summer plan is the strengthening of the modal integration between the means of transport managed by the companies of the new Passenger hub of the FS Group: Frecce, Intercity, regional trains of Trenitalia and Ferrovie del Sud Est and buses of Busitalia. Two further connections will be activated between Paris and Lyon, which become six from 1 June. Those who book a return trip on the same day on Saturday are entitled to a special price with 70% discounts. 50% discount, on the other hand, for round trips from Monday to Friday in the same week. Reductions of up to 50% are then provided with the offers me & you, young (for young people up to 30 years) and senior (for over 60). For group travel with family or friends with the offer together, discounts of 35% to 50% are available. By purchasing the refund option, tickets purchased in economy and superconomy rates are refundable at 90% up to two days before departure.

For foreign tourists, the novelty is the Trenitalia Pass, an offer starting from 129 euros, available in digital format and valid on Frecce and Intercity, which also provides additional discounts for young people and seniors and allows children to travel for free. The pass, available in 3 types (easy, comfort and executive), allows you to choose whether to make 3 or 4 trips in 7 days, 7 trips in 15 days or 10 trips in 30 days. Discounts of up to 50% also for traveling with the family on board the Intercity night with the Family Icn offer. With the free children offer, children up to 15 years of age travel without paying on board Frecce and Intercity.
